I build AI that businesses actually own
These days my focus is local and private AI. I help businesses move from renting intelligence through API bills to owning it: open models on their own hardware, private RAG systems over their own documents, and honest audits that sometimes conclude “you don't need me”. I contribute to open source local AI (including Odysseus, PewdiePie's local AI project, which is the strangest line on my CV), and I'm building Sanctuary, a fully offline, on-device AI app for neurodiverse users. If private AI can run on a phone, it can run in your business.
Why I love this work
The honest answer, which has nothing to do with business cases.
Programming is not just a profession for me, it's a passion. There's something magical about transforming ideas into reality through code. The ability to create something from nothing, to build tools that solve real problems, and to see the immediate impact of your work is incredibly satisfying.
What truly captivates me is the puzzle-solving. Each challenge is an opportunity to break down a complex problem into an elegant solution, and the moment when everything clicks into place, when the code finally works after hours of debugging, is pure joy.
The technology landscape never stops evolving, and that is what keeps me energised. There is always a new framework to explore, a better pattern to learn, or an innovative approach to discover.
